PURCHASING A “DO-ALL” SAFETY PROGRAM
Some want to sell you software that can leave you with a bad feeling later about the investment.
Fact is there is still a need for someone to: a) learn the program, b) gather and input data, and; c) interpret and apply the data.
If the person selected to manage this as their secondary occupation then it may not get the proper attention to ensure compliance.
Some things to consider that a “Do-all” program can’t do:

- 2. Observe and audit for safety issues
- 3. Make recommendations about safer work practices
- 4. Assist in resolution of safety issues
- 5. Attend the site in cases of emergency
- 6. Attend the site to deal with regulators
- 7. Attend the site to organize and lead a safety committee
- 8. Deliver a training program
